Fun ride turns deadly, biker burnt alive in Karnataka

Kolar: A 20-year-old youth was charred to death after his bike collided with a private bus at Kolar-Bangarpet Road on Wednesday, December 26.
The deceased is identified as Neeraj, a BE student of Reva engineering college and resident of Vivekanand Nagar of Bangarpet in Kolar district.
The accident took place shortly after Neeraj and his friends set off their journey on three bikes from Bangarpet, informed sources.
It is gathered that while negotiating a curve bus came from the opposite direction and Neeraj’s bike rammed the front part of the bus, as the result the petrol tank of the bike opened and the engine of the bus too developed a crack, resulting in leakage of petrol and oil. Though the bike was dragged for about 50 metres along the road and it caught fire in no time and Neeraj was burnt to death on the spot.
Neeraj's elder brother Dheeraj had purchased the second-hand bike for Rs 8 lakh, which originally cost Rs 17 lakh. Neeraj is the second son of Kumaresh, an agricultural trader from Vivekanandanagar
