Women across the UAE, Bahrain and Oman can undergo free health screening across all Majid Al Futtaim shopping malls.
The shopping malls are offering complimentary health testing to women for a month under the Feel the Beat regional heart health awareness campaign.
Its aim is to spread awareness on cardiovascular disease for prevention and early detection.
For the remaining month of September and throughout October, female visitors will be able to avail the offer in Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre and Me’aisem City Centre as well as Al Shindagha City Centre and My City Centre in Al Barsha.
Other malls offering free screenings include the Ajman City Centre, Fujairah City Centre, Sharjah City Centre Sharjah as well as those in Nasseriya, Matajer Al Juraina, Matajer Al Mirgab, Bahrain, Muscat and Qurum.
All participating shopping malls will have allocated areas to host medical professionals who will administer complimentary heart health tests and conduct check-ups for women.
Visitors will be able to check their blood pressure, blood sugar and Body Mass Index (BMI) to determine if they are at risk of heart diseases and if they require a follow-up consultation.
Women can follow the campaign, learn about cardiovascular disease and pledge to do more for their hearts by visiting the malls’ websites and on social media by using the #signwithyourheart and #FeeltheBeat hashtags.
Last year, more than 10,000 women participated in the Feel the Beat campaign.
The Majid Al Futtaim Charity Foundation (Mafcf), which launched a “S.M.A.R.T” programme (Start Making All the Right Turns) focusing on the prevention of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, obesity and diabetes, will be partnering with Feel the Beat to offer children fun activities and health education.
