Free eye check-up camp organized in Bhatkal; social worker Nazir Kashimji felicitated

Bhatkal 08 Jan 2018: JCI Bhatkal city in association with New Sana Optics and Prasad Netralaya Multi-specialty eye hospital Udupi, organized a free eye check up camp in Bhatkal on Sunday Jan 07.
Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal MN Manjunath inaugurated the event, and lauded the efforts of the organizations of organizing such camp for social service and urged people from across the Bhatkal to be beneficiaries of the camp.
The camp also requested people to commit for donating their eyes after their life to the needy people of the society. Guest of Honor, Raghavendra Prabhu said "When we die, even then we should die doing something good for the society, and donating your eyes is a noble thing to do, that's when you lighten up someone's world when you know your eyes will be closed forever".
Dr. Nivedetha of Prasad Netralaya Multi-specialty eye hospital Udupi, explained the procedure of donating the eyes.
Prominent social worker of the town Nazir Kashimji, was also felicitated during the event for his selfless social service to the people of Bhatkal and around.
JCI Bhatkal President K Jabbar, Founder President of JCI Nagaraj Shet, Dr. Priya of Prasad Netralaya Multi-specialty eye hospital Udupi, Manjunath Kharvi and others were among present during the camp.
