Free Eye Check-up Camp held at Bhatkal Govt Hospital

Bhatkal - 22 Sep 2011: A Free Eye Check-up Camp was held here at Bhatkal Govt Hospital on Wednesday, 21 Setember. The event was sponsored by V R Deshpande Charitable Trust Haliyal in association with Bhatkal Rotary Club, Lions CLub Kumta & Parshurama Sports Club, Bhatkal. Several famous Eye Specialist from Karwar district participated in the camp.

Around 150 patients received free treatment and few of them were invited to Kumta Hospital for free surgery. The patients invited to Kumta for Surgery will get free transportation and food during their stay in Kumta.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr Mankal Vaidya, Mr Devidas Moger - BEO Bhatkal, Jalaluddin Kasarkod - President Rotary Club Bhatkal, Mr Shiv Prakash - CPI, Mr DS Bhat, Mr KM Prakash - PSI, Nazir Kashimji, Mr Shrinivasa Padiyar - Ex-president of Rotary Club Bhatkal, MrV Rajesh Naik and Mr Krishna.
