Four members of a family die from drowning at Belthangady

Bhatkallys News Service Belthangady 11 January 2017: Four members of a family died from drowning in a river near a Belthangady when they were visiting the place on Wednesday. The man named Abdur Rahim (30), his wife Rubina (25), his son Abdul Subhan (15) and Yasmeen (23) were on their way back to their hometown Udupi from a shrine visit, when they reportedly stopped near a river for some fun which eventually turned out to be their last outing. According to the sources Abdul Subhan, while swimming around lost his balance and started swamping and reportedly his family members in an attempt to rescue Abdul from drowning fell into water and lost their lives. Bodies of all the four have been shifted to Belthangady Hospital for post-mortem after which it will be handed over to their families. A case has been registered in Belthangady Police station
