Five youth drowns at Murdeshwar beach; four rescued one missing

Murdeshwar 17 March 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) One drowned among five youth who got washed away while swimming here at Murdeshwar beach on Sunday. The deceased victim has been identified as Madappa Shivanna Madival of Chamaraj Pete.while the other rescued victims are Yogesh Suresh Naik, Siddaraju Nagaraj Shetty, Raveesh H.I and Lokesh. On noticing five youth getting washed away by a huge tide at Murdeshwar beach, life guards including Jayaram Harikant and Chandrashekhar Devadiga swung into action and managed to save four people. However, Madappa got drowned and went missing. A search operation by local fishermen and life guards is underway to trace the missing body. A case has been registered at Murdeshwar police station.
