Five-year old Bhatkal boy donates his money box to Karnataka CM COVID-19 relief fund

Mangaluru: A five-year old Bhatkal boy received appreciation by the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh after he decided to donate his savings from piggy bank to the Karnataka Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, here in Mangaluru on Wednesday.
The boy identified as Ata-ur-Rahman is the son of Umer Farooque Manegar of Shiroor and is also the grandson of Dr. Mohammed Haneef Shabab of Bhatkal. Ata-ur-Rahman is a student of Montessori Grade at The Yenepoya School in Mangaluru.
Additional DC Roopa also lauded the effort of Ata-ur-Rahman was in awe of the noble gesture by the kid.
When asked why he was donating his piggy bank by Sindhu Rupesh, Ata-ur-Rahman added that he wanted to help the authorities in fight against the Corona Virus and that it was his contribution for the cause.
