Fisherman falls off the boat, Dies

Bhatkal - 01 Oct 2011: A fisherman who ventured into the sea to earn his daily bread, slipped off from his boat here on Saturday October 1 at 4.30 am and drowned in the sea.

The deceased has been identified as Nithyananda aged 26, son of Krishna Kharvi. He went for fishing in a boat named Jai Gurudhar. While fishing he lost control and fell down in the Sea.

His dead body was recovered within half an hour from the time he went missing. At 9.30 am post mortem was done. A case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station.
