First Juma Namaz offered at Imam Bukhari Masjid

Bhatkal - Masjid Imam Bukhari located in Salman Abad locality of Bhatkal became the 10th juma masjid in Bhatkal town yesterday when the first juma namaz was peacefully offered here. Around 400 people from in and around Bhatkal offered the prayers which was led by Moulana Sadique Salafi, Imam and Khatib of Masjid Imam Bukhari.

It may be noted that, Imam Bukhari Masjid was established in the year 2009 and it is registered with Karnataka Waqf Board. Since then, the masjid management were trying to get permission for juma namaz but due to some reason it was delayed. In this regard, a meeting was arranged recently by the Tahsildar of Bhatkal to discuss this issue. All 5 markazi jamaat and Bhatkal TMC officials were invited in the meet. After getting views from all the participants, the permission was granted.
