Fire erupts at Bhatkal wood depot

Bhatkal - 12 March 2011: A major disaster was averted by the timely action from the fire department here at Bhatkal wood depot located at main road. According to the sources, a shop owner was burning some garbage near his shop in the morning, but due to dry grass present over there, fire suddenly spread to the nearby wood depot. Later it was brought under control by fire department and major mishap was averted.
