Final decision on Highway widening project soon; Committee constituted

Bhatkal – 04 Jan 2012: A committee was constituted at a meeting held here at Tanzeem hall to evaluate the feasibility of highway widening project and its impact on Bhatkal town in case it is bypassed. The committee members include Mr S M Khaleel, Mr D H Shabbar, Mr Kazia Muzammil, Mr Abdul Rahman Motesham and Mr Altaf Kharuri. The committee will submit its final report after conducting meetings and discussions with different authorities linked with this project at regional, state and national level. It may be noted that, people of Bhatkal under Tanzeem banner strongly opposed the highway bypass move by conducting a massive rally and delivered their verdict in favour of present highway upgrade.
