Father-Daughter duo drowns in Krishna River

Bengaluru: A father and his daughter riding on a bike were thrown off the bridge and washed away in the Krishna river on July 4, as the rider lost control when a sudden gust of strong wind blew. According to an eye-witness, the incident happened on the bridge connecting Galagali-Chikkagalagali which doesn’t have any safety railings. The father died in an attempt to save the daughter who lost balance and fell into the flowing water. The local fishermen have found the body of 2-year-old daughter Annamma. Search was underway to find father Dashageera Sab’s body when reports last came in. Source: News Karnataka
