Fascinating quiz on Bhatkal, its history, people and culture to be part of Muscat Eid Milan

MUSCAT: Considering the fact that the new generation is not aware of our culture and heritage, a quiz on Bhatkal, its history, its people, its culture and heritage would be the highlight of the entertainment programme segment of the Muscat Eid Milan 2013. According to Aftab Kola, incharge of the quiz, ‘The show, titled, ‘BHATKALNAMA 2013’ is aimed at bringing awareness about our history, our cultural heritage, our people which are at serious risk of being forgotten. To participate a team has to be formed with two members and those desirous of participating should contact us. There is no fee for participation.’ He said, “There would be a prelims round around September last week for those who register for participation. From the prelims, four teams would be selected for the finals which will be held as part of Eid Milan cultural programmes. Exciting prizes are at stake.” He further added, “Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. It is time we document our history and heritage. The quiz will have three-four rounds, like, ‘identify the photo’, ‘identify the voice’, and other interesting segments.” The last date for giving names is September 15.
