New Delhi: Families of youths arrested in terror cases in last few years are planning to form their representative body to take up their cases in an organized way. Senior Journalist Mohammed Ahmed Kazmi led a delegation of 20 persons from the victim families and discussed the proposal with leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind here on Sunday. An indefinite number of persons from the minority community have been arrested in connection with terror blasts in last 10 years in different parts of the country. In many of those cases, scores of minority youths have been acquitted while in many others saffron groups and activists have been found involved and arrested. A good number of arrested minority youths come from poor families, and so some civil groups and Muslim organizations like Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind have helped them financially and fought their cases in the courts. It is the first time that the victim families have come up with the idea to form their own representative body. “The proposal came from Journalist Syed Mohammed Kazmi and supported by the victim families. Jamaat Islami has decided to support the move,” Mohammed Ahmed, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind told MuslimMirror.com. Mr. Ahmed further said that the Jamaat has also decided to extend financial help to the needy families of those youths, and their cases will also be fought in higher courts like high court and supreme court.
