Fails to repay debt, farmer commits suicide in Mundgod

Mundgod 04 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Unable to repay debts, a farmer from Mundgod killed himself on Thursday by consuming pesticides on January 1, he was admited to Hospital where he breathed his last on Thursday January 3. The deceased has been Ninganagowda Patil (50) of Mudusali village of Mundgod. As per sources, Patil, who owned three acres of land had borrowed loan from banks for constructing bore-well in his land. However, as his field din't yield crops, his burden of debt increased. And thus on 1st January he gulped pesticide and was admitted to KIMS Hospital of Hubli. However, as he couldn’t respond to the treatment he breathed his last on Thursday. A case has been registered at Mundgod Police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
