Excise officials destroy alcohol worth Rs. 22 lac at Karwar

Karwar 25 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Excise officials of Karwar on Saturday destroyed alcohol worth Rs. 22 lac at Majali near Gotnebag of Karwar that were seized during the raid between June and November this year in Karwar range. Under the direction of Excise Deputy Commissioner LA Manjunath the excise officials on Saturday destroyed about 4591.350 liters of alcohol worth Rs.22 lac by spilling them onto the ground at Majali of Karwar. These Alcohols were seized by the officials while they were being smuggled from Goa to Karwar. About 56 cases were registered during the period from June and November. Among them 48 cases were registered by the excise officials while the remaining 8 cases were registered by the Karwar police. Excise officials including Satya Narayana Trivedi, Balagowda Patel, R.C.Hooghar and others were present here. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
