Ex-minister Shivanand Naik resigns from BJP

shivanandnaik-quit-bjp-1 Bhatkal – 18 Jan 2013: Former Karnataka Minister and ex Bhatkal MLA, Mr Shivanand Naik today resigned from the primary membership of the BJP here at a press conference held at a a temple in the presence of his 700 supporters. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Shivanand Naik praised Dr Chittaranjan, Mr Yeddiyurappa and Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Declaring them as his role models he said, ‘I joined BJP by looking at them and worked for the progress of party but RSS and Sangh Parivar tried every effort to spread hatred against me and ignored me at every front. With the grace of my mentor, Mr Yeddiyurappa, I became small scale minister in his Govt and discharged my duty with full dedication and honesty.’ Replying to a query he said, ‘I have not yet decided on joining any party. I will announce my future course of action after consulting my elders.’ He said. On this occasion Zilla Sahkari Union President Mr Ravi N Bhat, BJP leader Mr Mundan Naik, APMC President Mr Prameshwar Mesta, Krishna Naik, Prameshwar Devadig, Nagesh Pai, Kumar Heble, Mohan Devadig, Nagratna Padiyar, Sarojini Naik, Suri Kamat, Rama Gowda, R N Hegde, Jaya Naik, Madam Raj Jain, Narayan Bhat, Mahadeva Naik, Gori Moger and others were present.
