Ex Anjuman President Abdul Rahim Jukaku gets National Award for Excellence in Education by AMP

Abdul Rahim Jukaku, Ex-President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal, has been awarded National Award for Excellence in Education – 2019 by the Association of Muslim Professionals at the AMP’s national convention in Bengaluru on Sunday 23 February.

Jukaku served as the president of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen for five years from 2015-2020. He had also served as the vice president and general secretary of the organisation from 2003 – 07 and 2007- 2015 respectively.

Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen is one of the most noted and prominent educational institutions of Coastal Karnataka and runs over 20 schools and colleges in and around Bhatkal with over 8000 students studying and 550 teaching staffs across 20 institution.

In the recently held organizational elections of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Jukaku was elected as the executive member of the body but lost the presidential post by a margin of one vote to Muzammil Kazia. Jukaku however, speaking to Bhatkallys.com pledged to continue contributing to the organisation despite not holding any office in the newly formed committee.

Jukaku added that he would go on a break and be out of country for a couple of months and would be back later to be available for the service for the betterment of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen upon his return.

He also thanked his colleagues and the team that puts in all the efforts in successfully running the organisation.

He also stressed upon the need of improving the quality of the education in order for the community to raise above the societal hurdles in the current scenario.

“We have to work really hard in raising the standards of the education we impart. Education is one thing that defines, a community and society and I feel there is a lot that needs to be done in term of the quality of the education we provide” Jukaku said.
