Ensure peaceful Holi, residents urged

March 22, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: The Bhatkal Additional Superintendent of Police Devraj has called upon the people to celebrate Holi peacefully on Thursday and Friday. Mr. Devraj held a peace committee meeting at Bhatkal Town Police Station ahead of the festival of Holi. The meeting was attended by religious heads of both Hindu and Muslim communities. Speaking at the peace committee meeting here, he said that to ensure peaceful celebration of Holi, no one should behave in an unruly manner. The taluka administration has issued orders declaring dry days in the taluka on Thursday and Friday. On this occasion, representatives from both the communities assured cooperation to maintain peace and harmony during the festival. - ARF
