English edition of Shaafi'  Fiqh soon

20170406_095812 (1)Bhatkallys News Service | April 6, 2017 BHATKAL  - The useful, handy compendium Shaafi'  Fiqh authored by Bhatkal's eminent Islamic scholar Moulana Mohammed Ayub Nadwi will  soon be printed  in the English language. Shaafi' Fiqh in Urdu language was  first printed in 1983 by Moulana Ayub when he was teaching Islamic fiqh (jurisprudence) at Jamia Islamia, Bhatkal. The latest  revised edition  was printed last year. The work has been translated into Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Thai and  a few other languages as well. The  book is  well researched, well written,  with a view to understand fiqh in an easy and simple style. Readers will  find a mine of information in it  and serves as a handy guide pertaining to life's everyday matter. Moulana Ayub talking to bhatkallys.com  said, "It was in 1975 that the idea of coming up with such a book that will help Muslims to know about the Shaafi' fiqh in a very simplified manner cropped up in my mind. I worked on it  and with the  support of some scholars I printed the first edition in 1983."  It was an instant success. It got translated into many languages except English. Now, with the English edition coming up, it is expected to  cater to English-educated students and professionals. Moulana Ayub has harnessed his knowledge well to bring out this useful book on Shaafi' fiqh.
