Engineering student drowned to death at Malpe beach: 3 rescued

Malpe: A student of a private engineering college in Bangalore was drowned at Thottam beach near Malpe today at around 2:30 pm. The deceased has been identified as Keerthan (21), son of Narasimha, a resident of Tiptur in Tumkur district. He had visited the beach along with a group of 30 engineering students from Bengaluru. Although the team of lifeguards rescued 3 students. The dead body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the Udupi district hospital. Malpe police have registered a case regarding this.
