Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF) conducts Family Get Together

Dubai - Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF) conducted a family get-together under the theme of "Importance of Education to Empower our community" and "Evils of Dowry" held on June 1stat Aneesa Al Ansari Girls School, Al Quoz in Dubai from 3pm till 7pm.

The program started with the recitation from Holy Qur'an by Janab Mohammad Ashir and JanabJaved Ahmed welcomed the gathering. This was followed by a well performed skit about ANTI-DOWRY by young children which was highly appreciated by the audience.

JanabNasirHussain (President of EIFF) in his welcome speech emphasized on the importance of education to uplift our community and eradication of dowry which is one of the major social evils today.

The chief guests for the evening were Janab Dr. Kaup Mohammad (Gen. Secretary, Beary's Cultural Forum &Prof. London American College),Janab Abdul Razak (President KIC, UAE) and Janab O.M Abdul Salam (Gen. Secretary, Rehab India Foundation).

Talking about the importance of education,Janab Dr. Kaup Mohammad mentioned that as a human being one must aim to serve the humanity. He urged the young generation to pursue their goals with dedication and said that they must plan their future and achieve excellence in their chosen field.He also stressed on getting higher education to compete in modern challenges.

Pointing to the issue of difficulty faced by poor and backward community in the field of education, Janab O.M. Abdul Salam appealed to the public to take care of the educational needs of poor children. He said it is the collective responsibility of every individual to make necessary arrangement for the deprived students to complete their basic education. He also presented a slide show which exhibited the social activities done by Rehab India Foundation in different states of India for the empowerment of the community.

Janab Abdul Razak (Executive committee member of EIFF) spoke about the evils of Dowry and said that giving and accepting of dowry are both considered as an anti-Islamic act. "Our marriage system should be simple and dowry free - he said and also pointed out that because of dowry system many poor girls are still not married and there is lot of harassment done in the name of Dowry in our society. He stressed on the importance of creating awareness about the evils of dowry among our community.

The members of EIFF displayed skits on the Importance of Education and also eradication of Dowry from the society which was well appreciated by the crowd.

The President of KIC, Janab Abdul Razak thanked EIFF for conducting such a grand event and also for educating the crowd on these two burning topics in today's society.

One of the major highlights of the evening was, the event concluded by a Signature Campaign done by all the participants. The unmarried bachelors also conveyed a message they would never take dowry while marrying and also plan to do a simple marriage.

The entire program was witnessed and applauded by large number of audience and finally the vote of thanks was delivered by Janab Shameem Ismail.
