Indian Embassy in Muscat has informed all concerned on 22nd February that the Election Commission of India notification of the Elections in the States of Kerala, Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Assam and West Bengal and related forms will be posted on the website of Indian Embassy. This is now available at the Embassy website www.indemb-oman.org

On attestation of form 6-A and attestation of other documents related to the election process, it has now been decided by Indian Ministry of External Affairs in consultation with Ministry of Law & Justice and Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs that such attestation will only be self attestation by the overseas electors and not by the Indian Mission/Posts abroad.

Ambassador H E Anil Wadhwa urges all Indian nationals, belonging to the above mentioned states, residing in Oman to make use of these relaxed facilities and register themselves for the coming elections as applicable.

All other notifications issued by Election Commission have already been posted at the Indian Embassy website.
