EID MUBARAK; Eid-ul-Fitr declared in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 18 Aug 2012: Bhatkal Qazis today announced the end of holy month of Ramadan and declared Sunday as the Eid day after receiving confirmed reports of moon sighting from several parts of coastal Karnatakal and Kerala. Soon after the announcement of Eid-ul-Fitr, Takbeers were recited in all mosques and people exchanged Eid greetings.

It may be noted that Saudi Arabia, UAE and other gulf states today completed 30 days of Ramadan and tomorrow is the Eid day in all gulf region.

According to Eidgah Committee sources, due to rainy season in Bhatkal, Eid prayers will be offered in every Juma Masjid starting from 7:45 am.
