Eid holidays for public, private sectors, schools

Abu Dhabi - Eid Al-Adha holidays for federal ministries and departments are to start on Monday, November 15th (corresponding to Dhul Hijjah 9th) and ends on Thursday, November 18th.
The circular was issued by Humaid Mohammed Al-Qattami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAGHR).
Work is to resume at the federal ministries and departments on Sunday November 21st.
The Authority seized the occasion to greet President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highnesses and Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates and the peoples of the UAE and other Muslim countries.
Holidays for private sector
Employees of the private sector will get paid Eid Al-Adha holidays from Monday, November 15th(corresponding to Dhul Hijjah 9th) to Wednesday, November 17th (corresponding to Dhul Hijjah 11th.), according to a circular by Minister of Labor Saqr Ghobash.
The minister seized the occasion to greet President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highnesses and Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates and the peoples of the UAE and other Muslim countries.
Schools to remain closed 14 to 20 Nov.
Eid Al-Adha holiday for schools in the UAE starts on Sunday, November 14th (corresponding to Dhul Hijjah 8th) and ends on Saturday November 20th, according to a resolution by Minister of Education Humaid Mohammed Al-Qattami.
Schools are to open on Sunday, November 21st.
The Minister said the resolution takes into consideration family commitments on such occasions where a normal school day falls between holidays.
The resolution, he added, aims to ensure a happy holiday for students and their families.

Securities markets closed from Nov. 15 - 20
The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) announced that the financial markets will remain closed from Nov. 15 and resume trading on Sunday, Nov. 21 to mark Eid Al Adha holiday, according to a circular No. 21 of year 2010 issued by the Federal Human Resources.
The move follows coordination with the securities markets.
SCA congratulated President His Highness. Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highnesses and Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, on the advent of Eid Al Adha. It also extended the congratulations to the UAE people on this happy occasion.
