Educate the women of Bhatkal

If the Bhatkally community has to prosper, it needs to make dedicated efforts to educate and empower women, said Roshan Baig, a leading Muslim politican who is also a member of the legislative assembly.

His comments came on the second day of the Jamia Islamia convention in Bhatkal.

He added, "More than 50 per cent of the people living in Bhatkal are women. Without their representation, the community cannot

He also added, "The political representation of Bhatkal has taken a back seat after the death of S.M Yahya. Bhatkal needs leaders who can represent the community at the state level and the legislative assembly."
