EC orders repoll at Chandni Chowk booth

The Election Commission on Thursday ordered repoll at a booth in the Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency. The decision was taken on the basis of a report from the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer that the Presiding Officer at booth no. 32 forgot to delete the “test votes” cast during the mock poll conducted ahead of the actual election on May 12. Voter turnout The Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat recorded 62.69% turnout while the Chandni Chowk Assembly segment saw 59.36% polling. Repolling on May 19 The repoll will be conducted on May 19 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and voters will be distributed voter slips. There are about 300 houses that fall under the polling station, they added.
