Duronto coaches derailed near Goa

MANGALURU: Ten rear coaches of Train no. 12223 LTT-Ernakulam Duronto Express derailed at 6.24am South of Madgaon, near Balli station. No casualties or injuries have been reported, said Konkan Railway spokesperson. Accident Relief Medical Van (ARMV) and Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) have reached the site. Konkan Railway officials have also rushed to the site for bringing about relief and restoration, the spokesperson added. Passenger carrying trains are likely to be regulated / diverted / cancelled or trans-shipment would be arranged. Details of the same would be given in a short while.
