Besides green roof ventilators, the product range includes daylight solutions, solar sky-tubes, solar sky lights, and reflective heat insulation, which require zero power consumption, said Lijo George Kuttukkaran, Managing Director, Lijan Greentech India. Green roof ventilators (GRV) are imported from Thailand in CKD form and assembled at the plant in Inkel Tower in Angamaly. The company has a 10-year-long association with the Thailand-based Arthith Machinery and Ventilators.

GRVs have features such as rotation without bearing and customised powder coating base, which is compatible with the Indian climate. The products are suitable not only for commercial buildings but for residential apartments also, he said, adding that reflective heat insulation for buildings helps to reduce power consumption.

Despite comparatively low awareness on green energy, he said business in India is growing at 20 per cent per annum. The aim is to install 1,500 GRVs in the next five years, compared to the current 500 every year. The Lijan group has also introduced climatisation solutions in the West Asia and North Africa (MENA) region, he added.
