Dr Kirti Shetty house burglary; Robbers arrested

Bhatkal - 15 Sep 2011: Bhatkal police succeeded in arresting 2 persons involved in the house burglary of Bhatkal's famous dentist, Dr Kirti Shetty which occurred on May 25, 2011 when he was away from his house along with his family. The arrested were identified as Irshad from Gulmi area of Bhatkal and Nepali national, Gorkha. Both were produced before Bhatkal court where they were remanded to police custody till 19th September.

According to the police sources, they had confessed to the crime and the police team is visiting Udupi to recover stolen goods.

It may be interesting to note that, in the past two months, around five to six shops located on Bhatkal NH-17 were burgled and the thieves are not yet been traced. With this arrest, these cases will be solved very soon.
