'Don't grant permission to Chakravarti Sulibele to address gathering in Bhatkal, his speech may instill communal discomfort between two communities' SDPI submits memorandum to Bhatkal Dy.SP

Bhatkal 30 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Social Democratic Party of India Bhatkal unit on Sunday submitted a memorandum to Bhatkal Dy.SP Valentine D'Souza requesting to withhold the permission to the speech of Chakravarti Sulibele who is to visit the town on October 1, and is to address students at SGS college ground as the Chief guest od 'Mattomme Digvijaya'. SDPI in their memorandum stated that, the communal speech of Chakravarti Sulibele might trigger hatred and communal discomfort between Hindus and Muslims of Bhatkal Taluka and to avoid it, measures have to be taken by the department and should bar him from addressing the gathering. The memorandum further added that in case of any untoward incident during or after his speech, the police department and district administration will be held responsible if it fails from stopping Chakravarti from delivering the speech. SDPI Uttara Kannada District President Taufiq Byari, Waseem Manegar, Md Sufiyan and Azeem were present while handing the memorandum at the police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
