Doha - Hassan Chougule, a well wisher of Bhatkalis, long time Doha resident and senior Indian Community member, and has been conferred upon with Pravasi Bhartiya Samman, This award was constituted by Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs in conjunction with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to appreciate exceptional and meritorious contribution of the Indian diaspora in their chosen fields or professions. This award is presented by the President of India on 9thof January every year, a historical day, the day Mahatma Ghandhi returned from South Africa toIndia, keeping an undying spirit to liberate the motherland from the clutches of British Empire.
Hassan Chougule a prominent NRI, President of Delhi Public School, Qatar, Managing Director of Emad Group of Companies, Vice Chairman of Doha Grand Hotel Group in Qatar. A businessman, a social activist, educationist and a Maharashtra Saput from Ratnagiri of kokan region and a long time (35 years) resident of Qatar is conferred with "Parvasi Bhartiya Samman Award" by smt. Pratibha Patil, President of India at Parvasi Bhartiya Divas at Jaipur on 9th January 2012. He is the only Indian, who has headed all the three apex Cultural, Benevolent n Business bodies as ICC, ICBF and IBPN, which functions directly under the aegis of the Embassy of India - Qatar. He is a Founder President of DPS and Founder Member of Ideal Indian School and also the President - Indian Overseas Congress for Qatar. He is attached and patronizing many educational institutions in India Chairman, Ideal Foundation - Mumbai. He is Known as Kokan ka Heera, Safeere Kokan or fakhre Kokan and supporter of all social, cultural n educational organisations through out Kokan Region n Mumbai.
