Abu Dhabi: Markaz Al-Nawayat Abu Dhabi, organized its annual meet and guidance session in Foodlands Hotel Abu Dhabi on Friday that witnessed participation from around 70 members.
A unique feature of this function was a remarkable talk organized on "Social Media Etiquette and Dos and Don'ts of Social Media".
Addressing the audience as the Chief Guest, Maulana Khaja Moinuddin Akrami spoke about perils of social media and warned the audience not to forward any material without authenticating it. Social media is mostly used to insult Islam and Muslims and to defame Muslims, he added.
On this occasion, the organization's Secretary Musba Ashraf presented the annual report of Markaz Al-Nawayat Abu Dhabi. A luncheon was served after Juma prayers.
The events in the day were organised in three sessions. In the morning session, lectures were delivered on Tauheed (Oneness of almighty Allaah) and Taharat (Purity in Islam). In the after noon session, talks on Zakat were held and in the evening session a very beneficial talk on Social Media was delivered by Maulana Khaja Moinuddin Akrami.
It was a good initiative by the organizers to arrange a one-day training session to talk about important topics related to our day to day life. The function concluded at 6 pm with vote of thanks by Atif Udyawar and dua(prayers) by Maulana Khaja Moinuddin Akrami.
