Bhatkal: 26 may,2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Mr. Shiv Prakash Devraj, SP, Uttar kannada District, arrived in Bhatkal on Wednesday after evaluating the district’s lockdown condition. To learn more about the situation, he arranged a closed-door meeting with the officials. He told reporters at the time that the district had been granted two days off per week. This has resulted in a massive flow of individuals that is proving difficult to control, and there is a risk of Corona expanding further. He stated that the district should be put on lockdown for ten days and that attempts should be made to supply the necessary materials from door to door. He stated that he would speak with the Deputy Commissioner and the Minister in Charge about the situation. He claimed that though the number of Corona instances in the district is already falling, if the exemption is granted again during the week, more cases will emerge, rendering the lockdown useless. According to the SP, containment zones have been established in roughly 80 panchayat areas and around 30 urban border wards, with plans in place to distribute needed products to the containment zones’ residents. However, if the entire district is placed under lockdown, arrangements will need to be made to provide vital products to all sections. The SP praised the mobile clinic in Bhatkal that was jointly run by Majlis-e-Islah-o-Tanzeem and INF-Rabita, and noted that the responsible officers were giving positive comments in this regard. However, if corona tests are used to apply it, it will be better and will aid in the treatment of patients.
