District level folk dance competition organised for special students in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 10 November 2018: Sneha School for Special Kids Bhatkal, on Saturday November, 10 November organised a district level folk dance competition for special kids at Nagayakshe Darmartha Sabha Bhavan in Mankuli locality here in Bhatkal. About five schools including Sneha Special School Bhatkal, from across the district had registered for the competition of which one school pulled back at the last moment citing inconveniences. Ajitha Manochetana Sirsi, Raghavendra Special School Yellapur, Daya Nilaya Kumta, Pedro Pavedo Honnavar and Sneha Special school Bhatkal registered for the event, but Ajitha Manochetana Sirsi pulled out of the competition. Students of Sneha Special School Bhatkal bagged first place in the competition while Pedro Pavedo and Raghavendra Special school bagged second and third place respectively. Dr. Savitha Kamat of Bhatkal Taluka Hospital, Working Journalist Association's District president Radhakrishna Bhat, Shankar Naik of Hotel Manjunath Bhavan and others were present during the event while Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik who was the chief guest of the event gave the event a miss.
