Dist level football Tournament: BIFA loses in the final

Karwar - Karwar defeated Bhatkal Inter-Football Association (BIFA) 1-0 in the finals of the Dist level flood lights football tournament being played here at Karwar. In the recently concluded tournament, 11 strong teams from all over the district have been participated. Earlier in the quarter-finals, BIFA defeated strong looking Kumta team and last year's winner Haliyal in the semi-final. Skipper Mohammed Mavia and goal-keeper Shanu played an important role in restricting Karwar from scoring in the final, but due to self goal BIFA lost the match.
