Depressed over illness, woman in Bhatkal commits suicide

Bhatkal 7 September 2019: Depressed over illness, a 55-year-old woman from Bhatkal breathed her last after consuming Rat Poision, here at Wenlock Hospital of Mangaluru on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Nagaveni Kharvi, a resident of Mavinkurve of Bhatkal Taluka. According to sources, as Nagaveni was suffering from some illness since a long time, she allegedly consumed rat poison. She was soon rushed to Wenlock hospital at Mangaluru. However, as she couldn't respond for the treatment, she breathed her last there. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural Police station.
