Depressed 22 year old woman commits suicide in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 24 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A depressed 22-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of the roof at her house here at Belke region of Bhatkal Taluka on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Ashwini Malleshi Naik, a resident of Bhatkal. According to the sources, on Tuesday morning when her parents had left home for shopping and her sister was busy in daily chores, Ashwini allegedly locked the door from inside and using the veil of her dress hanged herself to the ceiling and committed suicide. The police personnel who rushed to the spot conducted their initial investigation and later shifted her body to government hospital of Bhatkal for post mortem. The reason behind the extreme step and her depression is yet to be ascertained. It has been said that she was working as a tailor in a shop at Bhatkal. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
