Delhi's Aurangzeb Road to be renamed after Kalam

Aurangzeb Road in Lutyens Delhi will be renamed as Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Road after the former President, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) decided in a meeting on Friday. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the council decision in a tweet: "Congrats. NDMC jst now decided to rename Aurangzeb Road to A P J Kalam Road (sic).” A senior NDMC official also confirmed the decision. Soon, BJP national secretary Maheish Girri tweeted: "Happy to share that NDMC has today (Friday) decided to rename Aurangzeb Road as Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Road.
