Deccan Welfare Assocn urges all residents of Bhatkal to exercise their right to vote

16 April, 2014 |Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: It is the fundamental right of every citizen of a democratic country to exercise his right to vote. Under no circumstances, it should be wasted. As the Lok Sabha election day comes once in every five years, Deccan Welfare Association in Bhatkal has prepared few guidelines which they strongly recommend to be adhered to by every voter in Bhatkal. In a release sent by Showkat Khatib (General Secreatary - Deccan Welfare Association), he has given following guidelines for the voting day:
  • Check your names in the voters list, before the election begins.
  • During the time of voting, no one should leave his town or village and travel to any other place. If for emergency reasons he has no option but to travel, he should try his level best to come back on the election day and cast his vote.
  • Youth should guide elder members of the community on voting and also help them.
  • Cast your vote in your earliest convenience. Do not procrastinate.
  • Try your level best to ensure voting is close to 100%.
  • Voters should ascertain that not even a single vote is wasted.
  • Engage yourself in voting related activity on the voting day and help one another in this act.
  • Those who have voted should cooperate with others to cast their votes.
  • Stay away from any controversies or quarrels during the voting day and accomplish the work peacefully and harmoniously.
  • All are requested to exhibit professional behaviour with polling officials and staff.
