Deadly road accident on NH 66, Manki; Youngster died

12th April 13 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal - A deadly road accident occurred late evening near Maain Katta at Manki NH 66 in which a tanker collided with a scooter crossing the road. As a result, the rider of the bike died. The person has been identified as Nadeem Shaikh (22), a resident of Manki Dakni Mohalla. According to sources, the youngster was riding on his bike from Maain Katta towards his home when a speeding tanker collided with him and he got seriously injured. Locals from this area had to wait for around 20 minutes because of unavailability of ambulance or any other suitable vehicle to carry him. At last, he was taken to a private hospital in Murdeshwar with the help of a Maruti Omni Van but because of unavailability of the doctor he was rushed to Bhatkal Government Hospital. He died by the time he reached here. The corpse was taken to Government Hospital for post-mortem. This case has been reported to Manki Police Station. |
