Deadly accident on NH-66 Manki; 1 killed, several injured

15th May 13 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal - One person has been killed and eight others have been injured in a deadly road accident between a truck and a tempo on Gunvanti National Highway Manki (around 30 km from Bhatkal) at around 5:30 pm. The person who got killed has been identified as Gopal Krishna Adiga (58) of Udupi. According to sources, passengers travelling on tempo performed pooja at Daandeli, and were travelling towards Udupi Bijawar Muth. When they reached Gunvanti National Highway in Manki, their tempo collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. As a result, one has been killed and several have been injured. Driver suffered severe injuries. Hence, he was sent to Kundapur and others have been sent to a hospital in Honnavar. This case has been registered at Manki Police Station.
