DC urges officials to resolve complaints received on WhatsApp

August 02, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Karwar: Deputy Commissioner Ujwalkumar Ghosh has urged the officials to pay immediate attention to the grievances received on WhatsApp and to resolve them at the earliest. In a meeting with the officials, DC said that people are taking advantage of this facility and they are now receiving many complaints and issues. He has appealed to the public to take more advantage of this facility and urged them to pay more attention to social issues rather than personal issues. It may be noted that three weeks ago, district administration launched a new project under which people can bring their grievances to the attention of the higher authorities through social messaging app Whatsapp. People can send their complaints and details of problems to the district administration on Whatsapp (Mobile No: 9483511015). Pictures and video clips related to the complaint can also be attached. These messages will then be forwarded to the departments concerned so that they can solve the problem. These messages sent through Whatsapp will have legal value and the system has been introduced to address public problems in quicker and better manner. -ARF
