DC SS Nakul visits Gokarna temple; Hands over the temple to Muzrai Department

Gokarna 24 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Following the order of the Karnataka High Court, Shri. Mahabaleshwara temple of Gokarna was handed over to the Muzrai department from the possession of Shri. Ramachandrapura Math here on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul in this regard visited the temple and inspected the documents and bank account details and later handed over the same to the Muzrai department. Earlier, the temple was handed over to Ramachandrapura Math in 2008 by the then BJP government. Opposing the same, the temple priest family had moved court and after the legal battle, HC has ordered handing over the temple to Muzrai Department. The court directed the DC to make a list of all the movable and immovable assets of the temple and report the same to the court within one month. On Thursday, the DC collected documents, jewelry and other assets and handed the temple over to the department. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Fristen Dias)
