Day 2 of Jamia Convention begins

A global representation of scholars from 11 countries attended the second day of Jamia Islamia's education convetion in Bhatkal. International delegates from various Muslim organisations and ministries from UAE, Amman, Oman and Iran were represented at the convention.

Speaking at the session, Moulana Ilyas Nadvi said, "The global seminar is aimed at sending a message where we want people to understand Madrasas are not just pivotal to the development of Muslims but to develop humanity. Through this conference, we want to let people know that the Madrasa is not restricted to educate its students but to build a better understanding of Islam among the youth in our community."

336 colleges, schools and universities have affiliated with Jamia to share educational resources and develop their Islamic curriculum.

"We want to share our experiences with leaders of education centres which have included Islamic studies in their curriculum," added Moulana Ilyas.
