Data entry operator at Nemmadi Kendra sacked after Swabhimani Sangha submits memorandum to AC, alleging corruption charges

Bhatkal 27 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Weeks after a memorandum was submitted by Karnataka Swabhimana Sangha Bhatkal  alleging corruption charges and the behavior of Vasudev Naik, the data entry operator at Nemmadi Kendra has been sacked from his post here on 26 Oct. Earlier, the people who visited the Nemmadi Kendra for data entry of Aadhar card and other similar documents, had to wait for a long duration outside the office and the operator used to allegedly take bribe from the people for the work. He was also behaving rude with the people who visited the office it was alleged. Taking a note over this issue, the Karnataka Swabhimani Kranti Sangh of Bhatkal unit had submitted a memorandum to the Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal on 29 Sep in this regard. The AC of Bhatkal working on the memorandum reported the matter to the Revenue and District In-charge minister R.V. Deshpande and the District Administration, to which Minister R.V.Deshpande responded to take necessary action on this regard. However, on Friday, 26 Oct, Shubham Enterprises of Hubli who had appointed Vasudev Naik as Operator at the Nemmadi Kendra of Bhatkal dissolved him from the job and assured of appointing a better operator on his post there. It has been said that Vasudev who was earlier working as data entry operator of Murdeshwar Atalji Jana Snehi Kendra was transferred to Bhatkal due to similar complaints. "Among various achievements of the Swabhimani Sangha, this has been a milestone in their journey of activism" said Syed Ali Maliki, member of the Sangha. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
