Dalit CM issue unwarranted: Moily

MANGALURU: Former union minister M Veerappa Moily said the demand for a Dalit CM was unwarranted at this juncture since Siddaramaiah is the chief minister now. He has done well and it is not the time to criticise or demand a change, he said. He was speaking after the inauguration of the newly constructed concrete road at Kadri Mutt here on Friday. On the Urban development ministry issuing notice to Congress to vacate its headquarters at Delhi's 24, Akbar Road, Moily said he was confident that they would get an extension of the lease. On oil prices, the former petroleum minister said the international reduction of crude oil prices should benefit the consumers. UPA supported with subsidy to the extent of Rs 1,90,000 crore. The present amount of subsidy is Rs 30,000 crore. -TOI
