Dakshina Kannada new DC Sindhu Roopesh takes charge

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada new Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Roopesh accepted her charge on Saturday in Mangaluru. Additional DC Roopa welcomed the new DC. Sindhu will be the second woman DC for DK district. Previously, Rajani Shrikumar took charge as the DC of the undivided DK district in 1989 and became the first woman DC of the district. Sindhu B Roopesh is the 129^th DC of DK district and for the first time, the posts of the DC and the additional DC are being handled by women. Source: Udayavani
