CWG bronze medalist Kashinath felicitated

Bhatkal -Indian athlete Mr Kashinath who won bronze medal at a recently concluded 'Delhi Common Wealth Games 2010' was felicitated by Siddi Vinayak Sports Club and Shri Sharada Utsav Samiti Heble at a special ceremony held in his honor here at Tengingundi Bhatkal.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Kashinath said, 'In our country, government as well as general public show special interest towards Cricket and ignores all other forms of sports. This trend is discouraging the youths to take up sports as their career.' He also said, 'If this is continued, we may not win any medals at any international events and chances are there that one day except cricket all other sports will disappear from India.'

On this occasion Municipal President Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Mr Rama Moger, Mr Prameshwar Devadiga, Mr Shridhar Naik, Lakshmi Naik were present on the stage.
