Cultural programs mark annual day function of Al-Kausar Girls College

Febuary 28, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Annual day of Al-Kausar Girls College was celebrated on Thursday in the college campus. A unique feature of this year's function was magnificient rendering of cultural programs by students of various schools and colleges including Al-Kausar Girls College, Ali Public School, Anjuman Primary School, Naunihaal Central School, Shams School, Maadar Hawwa Islamic School, and Bhatkal Women's Center. The second session began at 3 pm in which students from Al-Kausar Girls College, Anjuman Women's College, and Jamiatus Saalihaat delivered speeches on the Life and Works of late Maulana Abdul Bari Nadvi that gave good insight on Maulana's biography and efforts. On this occasion, students with outstanding performance in Academics and Qur'an memorization were awarded gold medals and mementos. Another special feature of this program was that clothes were collected for distribution among poor and destitute. Also, a sum of Rs 30,000/- collected from sale of food items at the function was allocated for philanthropic work. - ARF
